Kelsey-Seybold Kingwood Clinic physicians and staff were delighted to be back in the community at the Lake Houston YMCA Bridge Fest Color Run 5K on Feb. 22. Kelsey-Seybold was a bronze-level sponsor with on-site staff handing out cooling towels, sunscreen, and Frisbees to participants.
“We want people to know that our Kingwood Clinic is back, bigger, and better than ever!” said Twila Darnell, Clinic Administrator, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Kingwood.
This was the first community event opportunity for Kingwood Clinic physicians and staff since the new clinic opened in January.
“We’re so glad to be back in the community where we belong!” said Dr. Sebastian Scobercea, Managing Physician of Kingwood Clinic. “We’re happy to be here today, supporting the Y and seeing our patients and other members of the community outside of the clinic.”
Dr. Chikku Paul, a pediatrician at Kingwood Clinic, was excited to meet local parents and talk about the new clinic.
“I’m new to Kelsey-Seybold, but I couldn’t have imagined a warmer welcome from the community,” said Dr. Paul. “I’m so proud to care for this new generation of Kingwood residents who are learning about resilience from parents and loved ones who have shown so much strength in the face of adversity.”
The new Kingwood Clinic opened on Jan. 6, and since then many patients have been welcomed back to their “home base” clinic, which is close to homes and schools.
“The feedback we’ve received about the new clinic has been so positive,” Dr. Scobercea said. “Patients love the new clinic! There’s ample parking, and they love having access to so many specialties and services under one roof.”
