Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Greater Heights Celebrates Opening with Mayor Pro Tem and Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Greater Heights providers and staff welcomed local officials and special guests at the March 1 ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the new clinic.

Houston Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin was excited to see a multispecialty practice known across the region for quality and convenience opening in Greater Heights.

“I like how the clinic has so many specialties and services under one roof,” he said. “This beautiful new clinic is just what this neighborhood needs.”

The Greater Heights Clinic serves residents in the Greater Heights, Garden Oaks, and Oak Forest communities.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Kelsey-Seybold open a clinic in our Greater Heights community,” said James Montalbano, President of the Great Heights Area Chamber of Commerce. “Kelsey-Seybold broke the mold by offering quality healthcare to entire communities, as well as businesses and their employees. That Kelsey-Seybold is a locally based provider makes this experience even more special.”

Since opening, the clinic has welcomed several patients each day who are new to Kelsey-Seybold. On average, the clinic sees about 60 patients a day.

“That’s good for a clinic that just opened,” said Clinic Administrator Tyrone Johnson. “We’ve seen many patients who are new to Kelsey-Seybold, and they’re excited we’re here in their community. It’s a rewarding feeling knowing the city and Chamber support us, too,” Tyrone said.

In early February, the clinic completed construction of an on-site Kelsey Pharmacy, adding even more convenience for patients.

“Patients who aren’t as familiar with Kelsey-Seybold are excited to see that we have a lab and pharmacy inside the clinic,” said Managing Physician Courtney Sutherland, MD. “I think once more people realize we have a pharmacy here, they will transfer their prescriptions over to our clinic. It’s just so convenient.”

After the ribbon cutting, the Chamber presented a plaque commemorating the opening to Kelsey-Seybold Greater Heights staff.
