Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Leadership, Westchase Community Celebrate New Clinic Groundbreaking

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic leadership with representatives of Houston West Chamber of Commerce and Alief ISD broke ground at the site of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Westchase, which will open in the fall.

Kari Werner, Houston West Chamber of Commerce President, is ready for Kelsey-Seybold to come to Westchase.

“Kelsey-Seybold has been involved with the Chamber for many years now, so to have Kelsey in our backyard is wonderful,” Kari said. “I am really looking forward to having Kelsey open here.”

Stuart Cayer, Senior Director of Ambulatory Clinics for Kelsey-Seybold, said that a Westchase Clinic has been a long time coming.

“It is fun to see the clinic site start to come to life,” Stuart said. “Opening a clinic in this area keeps local dollars in Westchase, which the Chamber and community are excited about. Having the Chamber and Alief ISD come out to support us as part of the business community is great.”

The clinic will serve residents in Westchase, Briargrove, Royal Oaks, Alief, and Memorial neighborhoods.

“Westchase is a growing community Kelsey-Seybold hasn’t stepped into yet,” said Tony Lin, MD, Chairman of the Board of Managers and CEO for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “I am eager to serve this community.”

For Dr. Lin, moving into Westchase is exciting on both a professional and a personal level.

“I have family members who live around Westchase, and they let me know when they pass the Kelsey-Seybold signs,” Dr. Lin said. “I am ready for this community to become familiar with Kelsey-Seybold and our high-quality level of care.”

The Westchase Clinic will have 12 physicians providing primary and specialty care. The clinic will also have an imaging center, laboratory services, and an on-site Kelsey Pharmacy.

“The expertise Kelsey-Seybold provides is absent in this area,” said Katina Gordon, Director of Benefits, Risk Management, and Safety for Alief ISD. “I think it will be great for our employees to have the option for this level of care in the Westchase area.”
