Kelsey-Seybold’s new Greater Heights clinic has only been open a month but has already become a staple for many residents in the Greater Heights community.
The clinic has had an average of 40 patients per day, a busy start for a new clinic, said Clinic Administrator Tyrone Johnson.
“We have been a lot busier than expected, which is exciting because it’s a new clinic,” said Tyrone Johnson, Clinic Administrator. “These first few weeks have demonstrated that we can expect to be very successful here.”
Kelsey-Seybold’s leadership team visited with clinic providers and staff in celebration of the opening with a ribbon cutting on Dec. 16.

“Greater Heights is an area that we’ve been interested in expanding to for a long time,” said Brinda Springfield, Senior Director of Ambulatory Clinics. “Our new clinic is conveniently located in this area. It’s in the perfect spot to serve the Greater Heights, Garden Oaks, and Oak Forest communities.”

For some Greater Heights patients, there may have been a Kelsey-Seybold close to their places of employment, but not close to their homes. Now, those patients have more options, said Courtney Sutherland, M.D., Managing Physician.

James Hoyle, Jr., M.D., F.A.A.P., F.S.A.H.M., Medical Director of Clinic Operations, also mentioned that this new location brings care closer to where patients need it, which is part of Kelsey-Seybold’s larger mission.
“It’s about getting closer to the patients we serve,” Dr. Hoyle said. “This is a unique area, as we have never had a location here before. Our whole design is to get closer to our patients, wherever they may be, and this new clinic is a perfect example of us fulfilling that mission.”
After the ribbon cutting, Tyrone and Dr. Sutherland led the group on a tour of the new clinic. The clinic occupies the fourth floor of an office building located at 1900 N. Loop W., Houston, Texas 77018.

The clinic offers patients access to a laboratory, X-ray, and other diagnostic testing services, as well as an extensive referral network of Kelsey-Seybold specialists with offices at neighboring clinics.
“This is an opportunity to bring our brand of medical care, which is high quality, cost effective and close to home,” said John Lyle, Senior Vice President of Healthcare Service Lines. “It is my hope that our patients appreciate this latest option for primary, specialty, and diagnostic care all under one roof.”
